PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (PBISE) has declared the postponement of matriculation exams originally planned for March.
As per the Peshawar Board, the matriculation exams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been rescheduled to April 18, shifting from the initial date of March 14.
Professor Nasrullah Khan Yousafzai, the Chairman of BICEP, conveyed to the private media that the alteration in the examination schedule was prompted by the significance of the month of Ramadan, as per the requests of students and parents.
He added that the decision to modify the schedule was reached during a meeting involving all board chairmen of the province.
The Controller of Examinations mentioned that the government had directed the board not to hold exams during Ramadan. Consequently, the examination schedule was adjusted in accordance with the directive.
