ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has started the visa process for Hajj 2025, and pilgrims have been asked to upload their documents through the Pak Hajj App.
Pilgrims must submit a copy of their passport, along with other necessary details, and upload a passport-sized photograph with a white background on the app.
Officials have advised all pilgrims to update the Pak Hajj App before submitting their information. The required details can be uploaded using the passport scanning link available in the app.
Authorities have set March 22, 2025 as the last date for submitting documents. Pilgrims must complete this process in time so their applications can be sent for visa approval.
Hajj quota and agreement
Under the Hajj 2025 agreement signed on January 13, 2025, between Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain and Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Pakistan has been allocated 179,210 Hajj slots. The quota is equally divided between the government and private Hajj schemes (50:50).
Accommodation and facilities for Pakistani pilgrims
Pakistani pilgrims will be provided special accommodation in Mina at discounted rates as per the agreement with Saudi authorities.
The Government Hajj Scheme will offer two options:
- Long stay: 38 to 42 days
- Short stay: 20 to 25 days
Pilgrims will also have the flexibility to stay in Madinah for 4 to 8 days, depending on their preference.
Support tools for pilgrims
Each pilgrim will receive a special travel bag featuring the Pakistani flag and a QR code for easy identification.
A mobile app will provide real-time updates about:
- Group details
- Training schedules
- Flight information
- Accommodation details
- Live maps of Hajj sites
Hajj application process
Pakistani citizens must apply through the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony’s official channels (e.g., hajjinfo.org) or the Nusuk app.
Pilgrims are encouraged to register and submit payments early to secure their Hajj slot.
The Office of Pilgrims Affairs Pakistan (OPAP) in Jeddah will work with Saudi authorities to ensure smooth arrangements for transportation, housing, and emergency support.
Travel and important guidelines
- Passports must be valid for at least six months from the date of application.
- Pilgrims must carry vaccination certificates and keep copies of their travel documents safe.
- All pilgrims must leave Saudi Arabia after Hajj as visa extensions are not allowed.
- Authorities have warned against fraudulent tour operators and advised pilgrims to use only official channels for Hajj applications.
Hajj 2025 cost
The cost of Hajj 2025 under the Government Scheme is expected to be between Rs 1,075,000 to Rs 1,175,000, with an additional Rs 55,000 for Qurbani (sacrifice).
