Govt promotes 11 officers to BS-21, 36 to BS-20 in secretariat group

ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has announced the promotion of eleven BS-20 officers and 36 BS-19 officers from the Secretariat Group.

As per the details provided by private newspaper, the Central Selection Board, which met from March 11 to 14 under the leadership of the FPSC Chairman, recommended the promotion of these 47 officers.

Ijaz Ahmed Mahesar is now promoted to BS-21 and will serve as Senior Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce. Irfan Aman Yousafzai is promoted to BS-21 and appointed Senior Joint Secretary in the National Food Security and Research Division. Muhammad Saeed Ashraf Siddiqui is now Senior Joint Secretary in the Economic Affairs Division.

Ghulam Farooq is promoted to Senior Joint Secretary in Water Resources. Salman Qayyum Khan is now Senior Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Division. Muhammad Ijaz Ghani is promoted to Senior Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Law and Justice. Ms. Marvi Qadir Dukhan is now Senior Joint Secretary in the Revenue Division.

Miran Mohiuddin Soomro is promoted to Senior Joint Secretary in the Economic Affairs Division. Rehan Saleem is now Senior Joint Secretary in the Finance Division (Military Finance Wing). Ayesha Zareen Siddiqui is promoted to Senior Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (Public). Miss Sajal Tauseef Khan is promoted and will continue her deputation at the National School of Public Policy.

Among the 36 officers promoted from BS-19 to BS-20, Muhammad Khalid is now Joint Secretary in the Finance Division. Akhlaq Ahmed Qureshi is appointed Joint Secretary in the Interior and Narcotics Control Division. Naveed Khalid is now Joint Secretary in Foreign Affairs.

Waqar Ahmed Pal is appointed Joint Secretary in the Defence Division. Tahir Mahmood Khokhar is now Joint Secretary in the Council of Common Interests Secretariat. Imtiaz Yusuf is appointed Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (Public). Sajid Manzoor Asadi is now Joint Secretary in the Economic Affairs Division.

Syed Shabbir Akbar Zaidi will remain on deputation at the Civil Services Academy in Lahore after his promotion. Muhammad Adeel Ashraf is now Director General of the Privatization Commission.

Muhammad Bakhsh Sangi is appointed Joint Secretary in the Economic Affairs Division. Nazar Jamil is now Joint Secretary in the Human Rights Division. Jan Bahadur is appointed Joint Secretary in the Communications Division. Khalil Ahmed is now Joint Secretary in the Petroleum Division.

Sahibzada is appointed Joint Secretary in the Religious Affairs Division. Muhammad Safdar has been promoted but has retired. Shahbaz Mustafa will continue on deputation to the NDMA. Tahir Mahmood Qureshi is now Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Division. Muhammad Rafiq is appointed Joint Secretary in the Interior and Narcotics Control Division. Rashid Noor has been promoted but has retired.

Muhammad Muzaffar Khan is now Joint Secretary in the Interior and Narcotics Control Division. Chaudhry Mumtaz Ahmed is appointed Joint Secretary in the Industries and Production Division.

Muhammad Zahid Mustafa is now Joint Secretary in the Climate Change Division. Imran Rashid is appointed Joint Secretary in the Planning and Development Division. Syed Tauqir Hussain Shah is now Joint Secretary in the Establishment Division. Akhtar Saeed is appointed Joint Secretary in the Establishment Division.

Khizar Saleem is now Joint Secretary in the Interior and Narcotics Control Division. Sajid Mahmood is appointed Joint Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office. Amir Muhammad Khan Niazi is now Joint Secretary in the Power Division. Muhammad Naseem Javed is appointed Joint Secretary in the Power Division.

Muhammad Ishaq is now Joint Secretary in the Establishment Division. Muhammad Nasir Khan is appointed Joint Secretary in the Power Division. Khan Hafeez has been promoted but has retired.

Javed Iqbal is now Joint Secretary in the Defence Division. Rashid Ali Zuberi is appointed Joint Secretary in the Finance Division. Munawar Hussain is now Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan. Niyaz Muhammad is appointed Joint Secretary in the Interior and Narcotics Control Division.

Separately, the federal government has announced the transfer of Joint Secretary Laiq Ahmad from the Power Division to Additional Secretary in the National Health Department, effective immediately, under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act 1973.

The government also approved other transfers and postings. Amjad Ahmad, previously Joint Secretary in the Industries and Production Division, is now Director-General of the National Internship Programme. Ms. Ambreen Jan’s additional role as Managing Director of Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has been extended for three months.
