Islamabad and Rawalpindi district administrations are setting up special bazaars to provide relief to citizens during Ramadan.
In Islamabad, 17 fair price shops will be set up across the city. The district administration has released a list of locations. People can buy food items at wholesale rates from these shops. Fair price shops will be in G-9 Markaz, I-8, F-8, E-11, F-10, F-11, G-13, and Bhara Kahu.
Other locations include Bari Imam, Bani Gala, Pakistan Town, F-7, F-6, G-6, G-7, Lehtrar Road, and I-11/4. Assistant commissioners have been assigned responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
In Rawalpindi, 11 subsidized Ramzan Bazaars will be set up in the city, along with one in each tehsil. These markets will open on February 28, two days before Ramadan, and will continue until the 29th of Ramadan.
They will offer essential items like sugar, flour, ghee, gram flour, vegetables, and fruits at discounted rates. The Agriculture Department will set up stalls for tomatoes, potatoes, onions, pulses, and gram flour, while the Poultry Research Institute will provide subsidized chicken.

Ramzan Bazaars will be located at Committee Chowk, Haidari Chowk, Dhoke Hassu, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Allama Iqbal Park, Gulzar-e-Quaid, Morgah, Adiala Road, Chakri Road, Chohar Chowk, and Chungi No. 22. Larger bazaars will be set up in Murree, Kotli Sattian, Kahuta, Kallar Syedan, Gujar Khan, and Taxila.

Each bazaar will have security, walk-through gates, and a separate in-charge. Officers from the Revenue Department will monitor prices. From the 21st of Ramadan, these markets will be converted into Eid Bazaars, offering clothing and festive items at affordable prices. Vendors will get free stalls, but those found overcharging will have their stalls cancelled.
The Punjab government will also set up separate stalls for subsidized sugar and flour outside the bazaars.
