KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced revised office and business hours for banks during Ramadan 2025 to accommodate the holy month’s routine adjustments.
According to the new schedule, all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) will observe the following office hours: From Monday to Thursday, banks will operate from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM without any break. On Fridays, the working hours will be from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM without a break.
For the public, banking hours will be slightly different. From Monday to Thursday, banks will remain open for customers from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM without a break. On Fridays, public dealings will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM without a break.
Additionally, the first working day of Ramadan 1446 A.H. will be a non-public dealing day across all banks, DFIs, and MFBs due to Zakat deduction procedures. Although banks will remain closed for customer transactions, staff will still be required to report to work and carry out internal duties. An official notice confirming these details is expected soon.
After Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the regular pre-Ramadan banking hours will automatically be reinstated.
