Court dismisses plea to register case against Shehbaz Sharif and Mohsin Naqvi

ISLAMABAD: The District and Sessions Court has dismissed the request to register a case against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and others. The court rejected the application on the grounds of non-appearance and non-compliance.

The case was heard in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka, where the application was dismissed due to the absence of both the applicant, Gul Khan, and the SHO of Secretariat Police Station.

It is important to note that the applicant had sought the registration of a case against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and others, claiming that his son was allegedly murdered at D-Chowk on November 26.

During the hearing, the SHO of Secretariat Police Station had requested additional time to submit a report, prompting the court to adjourn the hearing until February 24.

However, in today’s hearing, neither the applicant appeared in court nor did the SHO submit any response. In light of this situation, the court decided to reject the application.

This case pertained to a request to register a case against the Prime Minister, Interior Minister, and others, with the applicant leveling allegations against them. However, the court dismissed the application in accordance with legal requirements.
