ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Muhammad Ali Randhawa, met with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to discuss key development projects. The talks focused on the establishment of the Islamabad Intercity Bus Terminal and other infrastructure plans.
Chairman CDA requested ADB to prepare a financial model for the bus terminal project. He was briefed that the initial feasibility report for the terminal has been completed. The project will be linked with the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service and electric buses.

The bus terminal will also include charging infrastructure for electric buses. Chairman CDA urged ADB to provide technical support for developing Islamabad’s Transport Master Plan. He also requested ADB’s assistance in obtaining carbon credits for eco-friendly projects.
Chairman CDA reaffirmed his commitment to working with ADB for the development of Islamabad.
