The deputy commissioner directed that shopkeepers be provided goods at wholesale rates to ensure affordable prices for the public. All items will be sold as per the Market Committee’s price list to avoid any inconvenience to citizens.

He also announced that separate counters will be set up for women, senior citizens, and general customers to facilitate shopping. All arrangements will be completed by February 24 so that the bazaars can start operating before Ramadan.

The deputy commissioner emphasized proper cleanliness and parking arrangements to ensure a smooth experience for visitors. He assured that all products will be of good quality, and the best facilities will be provided to the public.

This initiative aims to make affordable and quality essential items available to the people of Lahore during Ramadan, providing significant relief.

Earlier, the Punjab government had also decided to launch the “Nighaban Ramadan Package” for millions of families. In a special meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, steps were reviewed to ensure transparency in the package. She had instructed citizens to complete their registration for the package by February 15.
