PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur has announced scholarships for students from underprivileged districts.
Speaking in Peshawar, he said the provincial government will provide an additional Rs 100 million for these scholarships.
He also mentioned that the Chief Minister’s Education Endowment Fund has been increased to Rs 2.4 billion.
Furthermore, Rs 2 billion has been set aside to introduce an Education Card in the province.

In a separate development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet approved converting a government helicopter into an air ambulance.
Barrister Dr. Saif, spokesperson for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, said the decision was made during a cabinet meeting led by the chief minister.
He explained that the MI-17 helicopter will be modified into an air ambulance at a cost of Rs 300 million.
The spokesperson added that the Finance Department will provide funds to the KP Aviation Department for this purpose.
