LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced a public holiday on February 5, 2025 (Kashmir Day) across the province, including Lahore.
Holiday is in observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day, the Punjab government has issued a notification stating that all government offices and schools will be closed on this day.
According to the official notification issued by the Punjab government, all government offices and institutions will remain Shut on this occasion.
According to reports, February 5 is also part of the 17 public holidays declared by the federal government’s Cabinet Division for 2025.
Additionally, the Sindh government has also declared a holiday on this day. The Sindh Services General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD) issued a notification on Friday in this regard.

February 5, which falls on a Wednesday, will be observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day across the country. This day is celebrated annually to show support for the people of Kashmir.
The government declares a public holiday, and rallies and gatherings are held in cities, where people join in large numbers to express solidarity with Kashmiris.
