According to the notification, President Asif Ali Zardari approved the appointment of Rana Shafiq Pasruri as a member of the Council of Islamic Ideology for a second term, for a period of three years.

The President also approved the appointment of Sahibzada Hafiz Muhammad Amjad, Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan, and Syed Atiq-ur-Rehman Bukhari as members.

The notification issued by the Federal Law Ministry states that all the members have been appointed for a period of three years.
