ISLAMABAD: Two officials of the Islamabad police were taken into custody on Friday after being accused of misbehaving with a woman who had called the emergency number for help.
The incident occurred when the woman sought police assistance and the officials from the Eagle squad arrived at the location, resulting in the woman being harassed and a confrontation where harsh words were exchanged.
The victim lodged a complaint, alleging that the police officers acted improperly towards her. Following an investigation into the matter, the DIG Operations determined that the police officers had engaged in misconduct, and a case was registered against them under police rules.
Both officials have been arrested, and legal action has been initiated against them. The incident highlights the need for strict measures to be taken against those who abuse their power and mistreat citizens who approach them for help.
