ISLAMABAD: The official price list for vegetables, fruits, chicken, and eggs in Islamabad has been issued today, June 2, 2025 (Monday).
The Islamabad Market Committee has announced the updated rates for vegetables and fruits, effective today (02-06-2025).
The list includes rates for daily essentials like tomatoes, onions, garlic, potatoes, and ginger, divided into two quality grades (Grade 1 and Grade 2) to maintain fairness in the markets. Due to abundant supply in recent weeks, tomatoes, onions, and potatoes are being sold at very reasonable prices.
The price of live chicken has dropped by about Rs. 70 per kilogram over the past week, falling from Rs. 440 to Rs. 370 per kg. This decrease is linked to lower demand ahead of Eid-ul-Adha. Egg prices remain stable, with only minor increases in recent weeks.
