ISLAMABAD: The Sindh government has declared a public holiday on December 27, 2024, across the province on the occasion of the death anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh government, Friday, December 27, 2024, will be a public holiday in the province.
On this day, the PPP will organize various events across the country, including in Sindh, in which the party’s central and provincial leaders will speak.
According to party sources, the events will pay tribute to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s great sacrifices for democracy, the country, and the nation.
It should be remembered that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was martyred on December 27, 2007, when she was sitting in her car after addressing a public meeting in Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi.

According to media reports, the Sindh government has requested a helicopter from the federal government on the occasion of the 17th death anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Sindh Home Department has requested the Federal Ministry of Interior to provide a helicopter in a letter.
According to sources, the helicopter has been requested for aerial surveillance of Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in view of the participation of important personalities, including President Asif Ali Zardari, on the occasion of the anniversary.
