LAHORE: The provincial government has divided Punjab into 10 administrative divisions, and the governor has issued a gazette notification confirming this.
According to the notification from Governor Sardar Saleem Haider, the new structure will include 10 divisions, 41 districts, and 216 tehsils in Punjab.
The change also includes the restoration of the former Gujarat division, which had been created by Chief Minister Parvez Elahi but later removed by the previous Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Additionally, the areas of Murree and Talagang have now been upgraded to full districts.
The new divisions are Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalpur. With these changes to divisions, districts, and tehsils, the government has also decided to revise the electoral constituencies in Punjab.

In November 2024, exports from all major sectors of Pakistan saw an annual increase. Textile and leather exports rose by 10%, while exports from the agro and food sector grew by 4%.
As per a TV report, sources revealed that exports of other manufacturing products increased by 3%, while exports of metals and gems went up by 19%.
Meanwhile, exports of minerals and petroleum saw a 10% rise, and exports of chemicals, fertilizers, and pharmaceuticals grew by 13% in November.
