Duki, Balochistan: At least 20 coal miners were killed and several others injured in a late-night attack on a local coal mining company in the Duki district of Balochistan. Unidentified gunmen launched rockets and hand grenades at coal mines owned by District Chairman Duki Haji Khairullah.
According to police, upon receiving the report, law enforcement and Frontier Corps personnel rushed to the scene.
Duki Hospital Medical Officer Dr. Johar Saduzai confirmed that the deceased miners hailed from various districts including Qila Saifullah, Pishin, Zhob, Loralai, Kuchlak, Musakhel, and Muslim Bagh. Notably, three of the victims were from Afghanistan.
Seven injured miners were initially treated at Duki Hospital and subsequently transferred to Loralai Teaching Hospital for advanced medical care.

Duki SHO Humayun Khan Nasir informed the media that the armed assailants had gathered the workers in groups before opening fire and setting the mining machinery ablaze. Media reports indicate that the victims were predominantly Pashtuns.
