ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has been banned from meeting all the prisoners of Adiala Jail until October 18.
According to media reports, the Punjab government has decided to impose the ban due to security reasons. It was also stated that since the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting is to be held in Islamabad, security arrangements have been tightened.
Due to the ban on meetings with all the prisoners in Adiala Jail, it will not be possible for Imran Khan to meet with party leaders, lawyers, or families.
It should be noted that a terrorism case was registered against Imran Khan at Rawalpindi’s Naseerabad police station, in which 13 provisions, including terrorism, have been added.
Thirteen local PTI Rawalpindi leaders have also been named in the case, while around 300 unidentified persons have also been named.

The text of the FIR states that Imran was allowed to have meetings outside the Jail Manual, and he made all the plans during meetings with party leaders.
According to the FIR, during the call for protest, the accused blocked the road on the M1 Motorway and opened fire. Government property was also damaged.
The text of the FIR states that when the police tried to stop the accused, they became aggressive and shouted anti-state slogans on Imran Khan’s orders.
According to the FIR, the accused also shouted slogans against security agencies and spread agitation. The accused violated Section 144 and interfered with the government.
It should be noted that earlier, a case was registered against Imran Khan and the local leadership at the Taxila police station, which included provisions of terrorism, attempted murder, kidnapping, robbery, interference with the government, and assault on police personnel.
