PESHAWAR: An increase in the fares of the express routes of Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has been announced.
According to the notification issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Urban Mobility Authority, the fare for the express service running on the mixed traffic road has been fixed at a flat rate of Rs. 55.
In a statement by the Trans Peshawar spokesperson, the increase in fare has been implemented to provide better travel convenience to long-distance passengers.

As per spokesperson, in the current situation, passengers covering a distance of 2-3 stops are also using express routes, due to which long-journey passengers do not get space on the bus. To discourage this trend, the fare for express routes has been increased.
This move will reduce the fare impact on long-haul passengers, while short-haul passengers will use more convenient routes. The routes for which the fares have been increased include ER-09, ER-10, ER-12, and ER-16.
