ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Development Authority (CDA) sealed 23 buildings in Sector G-15 and three in F-15, issuing notices to the owners for violating building by-laws.
The CDA has initiated a comprehensive campaign against illegal constructions and encroachments across the city to enforce building by-laws and reclaim state land, the CDA spokesman informed the official news agency.
He stated that multiple operations were being carried out by the Enforcement Directorate, along with the Building Control Section, in coordination with the District Administration and Islamabad Police.

Similarly, the authority demolished illegal structures in Jinnah Housing Society, including eight construction material depots, five shuttering depots, four junkyards, 12 fruit and vegetable stalls, five makeshift restaurants, four property offices, eight chicken shops, four tuck shops, and one service station.
Heavy machinery was utilized to dismantle these illegal structures, and government land was cleared.
In another operation in Sectors I-8, I-9, and I-10, the CDA also tore down nine temporary restaurants.
The spokesman said that these operations are part of the CDA wider job to make sure the city’s building rules are followed without bias.
He also said that in recent months, these concerted efforts have led to the recovery of government land valued at billions of rupees.
CDA remains committed to making sure that Islamabad city area follows approved rules and plans, protecting both the city facilities and its people.
