ISLAMABAD: The government has given the green light to the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) project for the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
As per an official media report, the Ministry of Health, following the special instructions of the Prime Minister’s Health Coordinator Dr. Mukhtar Bharath, has sanctioned the PC-I of the project valued at Rs1654 million.
Dr. Mukhtar stated that this project will increase the HVAC capacity from 1700 tons to 2500 tons. Mukhtar said that the project is expected to be completed within six months.

He said that the government is implementing reforms to enhance the health sector. Dr. Mukhtar said that patients were experiencing difficulties due to the absence of a proper cooling system in the summer.
He said that this measure will help regulate the temperature in both summer and winter.
Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad said that the government is committed to improving the well-being of people and providing modern facilities in hospitals. He also mentioned that the government is committed to enhancing the efficiency of public sector hospitals.
