ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has launched a new program to deliver driving licenses directly to people’s homes, utilizing advanced technology.

Under the orders of Inspector General Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and SSP Traffic Sarfraz Work, three special vehicles are now available to assist with obtaining new driving licenses, learner permits, and replacement licenses in Islamabad.

These vehicles are equipped with all necessary equipment, including two counters, laptops, a backup power supply, a generator, and a printing system.

The program targets specific groups, such as students at federal educational institutions, colleges and universities, visitors to public parks, people with disabilities, and people over 70 years of age. “Our aim is to make it easier for them to obtain the necessary driving documents,” said the Islamabad Traffic Police spokesperson.

People who have used the service at home are happy with it and feel that more such services should be available in the capital.

Mohammad Nawis, the Islamabad Traffic Police Spokesperson, said that efforts are underway to further improve the service.
