LAKKI MARWAT: A police official stated that the police successfully prevented a terrorist assault on a police station in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) on Monday.
The official reported that armed terrorists attacked the Darra Pezu police station from two directions during the night. The attackers withdrew when the police retaliated, with no casualties or injuries.
The district police officer praised the police for stopping the attack, emphasizing their professionalism and bravery in challenging circumstances.
Additionally, the DPO highlighted the high morale of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police force and their readiness for any potential emergencies.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 91 terrorists were killed in more than 1000 operations against terrorism during the 4 months of this year. Among them, 16 most wanted terrorists were also included.
According to the 4-month report issued by the Counter-Terrorism Department, there were 189 incidents of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with 10 attacks targeting anti-polio teams.
