Sindh announces three new routes for peoples bus service in Karachi

KARACHI: The Sindh Transport Department has announced the launch of three additional routes for the Peoples Bus Service in Karachi.

Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stated that the new routes for the Peoples Bus Service include Hawksbay to Tower, which will start operations on July 22, and an extension of Route 12.

Starting July 23, the Peoples Bus will begin its service from Qaidabad, Korangi, and Memon Goth to Tower, replacing the previous route from Khokhrapar.

Additionally, an electric bus route will be introduced from Kathore to Numaish starting on July 24, and a new route from Yousuf Goth to Tower will commence operations on July 25.

The transport minister said that the goal of these new routes is to offer affordable transportation to the people of Karachi. Last month, the Sindh government announced new routes for the People’s Bus Service in Karachi.

Furthermore, the department plans to introduce additional new buses and routes in the future to enhance the public transport system in the city.

Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon addressed Karachi’s transport woes by announcing additional routes for the People’s Bus Service.

The meeting, attended by elected MPAs from Karachi, the deputy mayor, and others, decided to launch new routes in Malir, Kemari, Lyari, and the West district of the port city. The meeting also decided to launch a new bus route from Numaish to Hawkes Bay.
