Pakistan Introduces ‘Passport Fee Asaan’ App for Hassle-Free Renewals

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to ease the passport renewal process for Pakistani citizens, the government has introduced a user-friendly mobile app called “Passport Fee Asaan.”

This app aims to reduce the hassle of long queues and waiting times at passport offices. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to renew your passport online using the app:

Download the App: Head to Google PlayStore or Apple App Store and download the “Passport Fee Asaan” app.

Create an Account: Upon installation, create an account by selecting the log-in option.

Submit New Passport Request: In the app, choose “New Passport Request – Passport epayment.” Provide your full name, CNIC, select the service type, and preferred passport office. The app will generate a unique PSID code for your payment.

Make Payment: Utilize mobile wallet services like EasyPaisa or JazzCash. Select “Link 1 Bill” and enter the PSID code (excluding the last six digits).Complete the payment.

Confirm Payment: Check the payment status within the Passport App by clicking on “Check Status” and entering your PSID (minus the last six digits). Once it shows “Paid,” download the payment receipt.

Visit Passport Office: Equipped with the payment receipt and a copy of your ID card, visit the nearest Passport Office.

Processing Time: Wait for the processing time. You’ll receive a notification to collect your renewed passport within two working days.
