CM Maryam Nawaz Launches ‘Free Medicine Delivery Project’ Across Punjab

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the ‘Free Medicine Delivery Project’ for the people across Punjab on Saturday, personally delivered medications to patients’ homes.

She visited Rasoolan Bibi, a cardiac patient, navigating the narrow streets of service quarters at Shadman Katchi Abadi, and also provided medicines to Munawwar Malik, another cardiac patient, at the same location.

Additionally, she inaugurated a Sahulat Markaz in the primary and secondary health care department, resuming the registration process for TB and hepatitis patients. She also inspected the establishment of a drug testing lab to ensure medication quality.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif further visited FM Sehat Zindagi and recorded a podcast, while also laying the foundation stone of the primary and secondary healthcare development wing and inspecting a doctor’s van.

During the ceremony, she expressed, “The Punjab government has extended this project to all cities in Punjab.

Under this initiative, two lakh patients will receive medications at their doorstep, with a provision for two months’ supply to hepatitis, TB, and cardiac patients, followed by subsequent deliveries post check-ups.

I foresee state-of-the-art health facilities across Punjab within five years, encompassing cardiology, pediatrics, and cancer treatment facilities in every city.”

In observance of International Firefighters Day, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed gratitude, stating, “How can we forget the rescuers who sacrifice their lives to save others? I salute every courageous firefighter on International Firefighters’ Day,” emphasizing their selflessness and heroism in the face of danger.

She underscored the importance of implementing building safety laws to safeguard high-rise structures from fires and assured the enforcement of Punjab Community Safety Buildings Regulations.
