ISLAMABAD: The Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), an entity under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, has finished constructing a labor complex in Zone-V, comprising 1008 flats and 500 houses for registered workers from Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
According to an official source, dedicated efforts are being made round the clock to address all worker-related issues. Labor complexes in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad are integral parts of this initiative.
It’s worth noting that the Workers Welfare Labor Colony Phase-I spans 1476 kanals of land and includes 1008 flats and 500 houses, all designated for industrial workers. Additionally, a mosque, industrial home, community center, and utility store have been established within the colony.
Responding to inquiries, the official mentioned that the target of sending one million people abroad under various agreements this year has been achieved. Moreover, there has been a significant increase in remittances.
