Sindh extends school summer vacation to August 14, 2024 due to heat

KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has announced the extension of summer vacations in schools until August 14, 2024.

According to Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, the holidays have been extended due to the extreme heat and the possibility of rain.

On the instruction of the Sindh Education Minister, the Education Department has also issued a notification to extend the holidays.

The Sindh Education Minister says that on August 14, activities and co-curricular programs will continue in schools, and all private and public schools will conduct programs related to Independence Day.

Syed Sardar Shah said that after the holidays, the new academic year in Sindh will start on August 15.

It should be noted that earlier, the Sindh government had issued a notification announcing summer vacations in schools.

According to the notification, the summer vacations in Sindh schools were from June 1 to July 31, as per the decision of the Steering Committee.
