Ayyan Ali shared a video clip of herself on a social media platform, conveying well-wishes for Asif Ali Zardari.
She captioned the clip, saying, “Respected Asif Ali Zardari is once again the head of state, and we all deeply admire him. We stand by him wholeheartedly.”
Ayyan Ali was apprehended on March 14, 2015, at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport while attempting to smuggle over $5 million to the UAE.
In this incident, the model spent four months behind bars and faced accusations of involvement in money laundering.
Ayyan Ali continued to attend court proceedings for two years in the money laundering case. However, in 2017, the country’s highest court removed Ayyan Ali’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL) and permitted her to travel abroad.
Subsequently, the prolonged case persisted. Finally, in 2020, she was acquitted in the money laundering case.
