The Pakistan Cricket Board has unveiled plans for a ‘Grand Opening Ceremony’ ahead of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024.
Scheduled to coincide with the commencement of the tournament, the ceremony will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the same venue for the opening match.
Renowned Pakistani singers including Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar, Aima Baig, and Noori are set to grace the event with their performances.

Ali Zafar and Aima Baig collaborated on the anthem for season 9 titled ‘Khul Ke Khel’, which was released on February 14, commonly known as Valentine’s Day in the Western world.
The ceremony will feature a dazzling display of lasers and fireworks, with gates opening at 3:30 PM and the event commencing at 6:30 PM.

The PSL tournament will span across four cities – Lahore, Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi – running from February 17 to March 18.
A comprehensive security plan has been announced for the entirety of the event, ensuring that foreign cricketers receive state guest treatment.
