ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) launched an operation in Islamabad to remove unauthorized banners and flexes erected by political candidates in three constituencies.

The action, focused on Srinagar Highway and other major roads, targeted flexes put up by candidates from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Jamaat-e-Islami, and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) without the required No Objection Certificate (NOC).

“Obtaining prior approval and paying the necessary fee are mandatory before installing any banners or flexes,” stated the District Election Monitoring Officer. “This operation aims to ensure a level playing field for all candidates while maintaining the city’s aesthetic and safety standards.”

The CDA teams carefully removed the unauthorized materials, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic flow and public safety. The operation serves as a reminder to all political parties to adhere to established regulations regarding campaign materials in the city.
