LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has said there is a need to raise awareness about the importance of a cycling culture in cities.

In her message on World Bicycle Day, CM Maryam Nawaz said that the bicycle is one of the best modes of transport for health and environmental protection. “Even today, many people in Europe use bicycles for daily travel. If they can do it, why can’t we?” she added.

She said adopting bicycles can improve public health and help protect the natural environment. “Bicycles not only save fuel but also help reduce pollution and disease,” she said.
