RAWALPINDI – After a nine-day break, the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 is set to resume today (Saturday) with a key match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Babar Azam will lead Zalmi, while David Warner will captain the Kings.

Last year’s runners-up, Multan Sultans, have already been knocked out of the playoffs race. The remaining five teams are still fighting to secure a place in the next round. Quetta Gladiators are at the top of the points table with 13 points, followed by Karachi Kings with 10 points. Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, and Peshawar Zalmi must win their upcoming matches to stay in the competition.

Upcoming Matches

Sunday, May 18, will feature a double-header. In the first match, Multan Sultans will face Quetta Gladiators, and in the second, Peshawar Zalmi will take on Lahore Qalandars. On May 19, Islamabad United, under the leadership of Shadab Khan, will play their final group match against Karachi Kings.

The playoff matches — Qualifier, Eliminator 1 and 2, and the Final — will be held from May 21 to 25 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Top Performers So Far

Mohammad Rizwan is currently the top scorer of the tournament with 363 runs and holds the Hanif Mohammad Cap. Sahibzada Farhan (321 runs) and Fakhar Zaman (309 runs) are second and third on the list.

Ticket Update

According to the PSL management, tickets purchased for the postponed matches of May 8, 9, and 10 will now be valid for the rescheduled matches on May 17, 18, and 19.

As May 18 is a double-header, the ticket issued for May 9 will allow entry to both matches. On that day, the first match will start at 3:30 PM and the second at 8:00 PM. All other evening matches will begin at 7:30 PM.

Fans will also be able to use their existing tickets for the Eliminators and Final as per the new schedule. It may be noted that PSL matches were postponed earlier due to tensions between Pakistan and India.
