Pak vs NZ 2023: Pakistan Takes on Inexperienced New Zealand in First T20I Clash .The Men in Green are set to face the Blackcaps in the first of five T20I matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Led by captain Babar Azam, Pakistan will be looking to build on their advantage of having won 10 of their 18 matches at the stadium since 2015.
Furthermore, the Pakistani side has defeated New Zealand four times in their last five matches, giving them an upper hand.
This will be Pakistan’s first T20I game since last year’s T20 World Cup final against England. Azam expressed his excitement to be back in Pakistan colours and is looking forward to bringing together the team’s experienced senior players and young talent in this series.
For the Kiwis, this will be unchartered territory as they have never played a T20I in Pakistan. The team will be hoping to rely on the experience gained from their recent tour of Karachi, where they played two Tests and three ODIs across December and January.
Despite the challenges of adapting to the unfamiliar conditions, Blackcaps captain Tom Latham expressed his excitement for the tour and the opportunity for younger players to step up in the absence of some of their senior players.
The series will consist of three T20I matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on April 14, 15, and 17, followed by two matches at Rawalpindi on April 20 and 24.
