The administration said that teaching at Balochistan University, Women’s University, and IT University has been suspended, and classes have been moved online.

According to the administration, Turbat University was closed due to a protest over disciplinary actions against some students.

It should be noted that, few days ago, a serious security incident happened in Balochistan. The Jaffar Express train, carrying 440 passengers, was attacked by terrorists in Bolan around 1pm. The terrorists blew up a railroad track, stopped the train, and took passengers hostage.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said 33 terrorists were involved, and all were killed during a clearance operation that ended on March 18. The operation was carried out by the army, air force, Frontier Corps, and Special Services Group.

They rescued many passengers, though 21 passengers and 4 Frontier Corps personnel died before the final rescue. The terrorists used women and children as human shields, which made the operation slow and careful.

The ISPR said the attack was planned from Afghanistan, and they expect the Afghan government to stop such activities from their soil.

This affects Balochistan University, Women’s University, and IT University, where classes are now suspended and shifted online. The administration also said Turbat University was closed due to a protest over disciplinary actions against some students.
