Justice Anwaar Hussain presided over the hearing of petitions filed by Leena Ghani and others. The DC informed the court that cricket matches and a horse and cattle show were also scheduled for February 8, which required ongoing consultations and meetings.
The court inquired when the ‘Aurat March’ application was received. The DC responded that it was submitted on January 29.
When asked whether the law specifies a timeframe for deciding such applications, the DC said there was no specific timeline.
The court expressed dissatisfaction over the delay, warning that the Chief Secretary would be summoned if the matter remained unresolved. However, after the permission was presented, the court concluded the case.
