As per official notification, all subordinate courts, including the Lahore High Court, will remain closed on the occasion of Data Ganj Bakhsh Urs.
The notification was issued after the approval of Acting Chief Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh. The event attracts thousands of devotees to Lahore each year, who gather to honor the saint, widely recognized for his spiritual influence and teachings.
It should be noted that both session and civil courts, including the Lahore High Court, will also remain closed on August 26 in Lahore, says the official notification.
On the other hand, Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yaseen directed the relevant authorities to ensure proper monitoring of security arrangements for the three-day Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh through Safe City cameras.
Bilal presided over the meeting and reviewed security arrangements and other preparations. Lahore Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza gave a detailed briefing about the overall preparations for the Urs.
