ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, where he met the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong.
As per the report, on this occasion, he expressed his condolences to the Chinese ambassador for the terrorist attack on the Chinese convoy in Karachi.
Expressing regret over the death of Chinese citizens in the terrorist attack, the Prime Minister said that the government is fully active in identifying those responsible for the incident as soon as possible.
Those responsible will be brought to justice soon after identification. He said that protecting the lives and property of our Chinese brothers in Pakistan is our first priority.
The Prime Minister said that the heinous conspiracy to harm relations between Pakistan and China will not be tolerated. He added, “I will personally supervise the investigation of this incident.”

He said that security arrangements for foreigners will be further strengthened. On this occasion, the Chinese ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the immediate response of the Pakistan government and the initiation of the investigation after the terrorist incident.
The Chinese ambassador expressed his confidence in the Government of Pakistan’s effective investigation of the matter and bringing the terrorists to justice soon, and he hoped that those responsible for the incident would be punished as soon as possible.
