Punjab police tightens security for Chinese nationals across province

ISLAMABAD: Punjab Inspector General (IG) Police Dr. Usman Anwar has directed an increase in the security of foreign residents, including Chinese nationals, and stated that the safety of foreign nationals, including Chinese nationals, is the top priority. In this regard, security SOPs should be strictly implemented.

According to the spokesperson of Punjab Police, in an important meeting presided over by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the security issues of Chinese residents and other foreign citizens were discussed throughout the province. He also directed that bulletproof vehicles be used.

During the meeting, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar reiterated that the protection of Chinese and foreign nationals is the first priority. He emphasized the strict implementation of security SOPs and the use of bulletproof vehicles during the movement of Chinese and foreign nationals.

Dr. Usman Anwar directed that personnel deployed at all relevant locations, including the residences of Chinese citizens and project sites, should be on high alert. CCTV cameras, entry and exit routes, boundary walls, and fronts should be upgraded at Chinese installations.

On the other hand, under the chairmanship of CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamiana, an important meeting was also held at the CPO office regarding the security of Chinese citizens, in which various issues were discussed to make the residences, movement, and travel of Chinese people safer.

The head of Lahore Police directed that security for the consulates in the provincial capital should be tightened and stated that police officers should maintain constant contact with Chinese citizens, the management of Chinese facilities, focal persons, and other law enforcement agencies in their areas. Regular checks of the residences and workplaces of residents should be ensured.

CPO Lahore directed that strong measures be taken for the security of the residences of Chinese citizens as well as their working sites and offices, and full implementation of the security plan prepared for the protection of Chinese citizens should be ensured.

Bilal Siddique Kamiana stated that all possible measures have been taken for the foolproof security of all foreigners, including Chinese nationals. The security of all foreigners, including Chinese nationals, experts, and investors coming for business or private purposes, has been ensured by the Lahore Police. It is an important task.
