ISLAMABAD: Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has announced she will launch a campaign with PTI workers to call for her brother’s release.
According to media reports, Aleema Khan visited Peshawar and Mardan yesterday, where she met with imprisoned party workers. During these meetings, the workers expressed numerous complaints against the current Chief Minister and other party leadership.
“Aleema Khan met with PTI workers in PK-83 and addressed their concerns,” a party source said.
MNA Shandana Gulzar and PTI leader Khadija Shah were also present and expressed strong dissatisfaction with the party leadership.
Media reports says that Aleema Khan has decided to take the workers with her to launch a campaign for the release of the party’s founder, Imran Khan. She did not consult the Chief Minister or any cabinet members about this campaign.
Aleema Khan also visited the Gora Gattkhel tehsil of Peshawar and later traveled to Mardan, where she met with local PTI workers. During her visits to both cities, Aleema Khan seemed deeply upset with the PTI leadership.
