ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif instructed the Ministry of Information Technology and associated institutions to accelerate the shift of federal government offices towards a paperless e-office system.

Highlighting the significance of this initiative, the Prime Minister stated that any delay in implementing the e-office system is unacceptable.

The Prime Minister instructed that all office files be processed through the e-office platform within one month, noting that he would review files only via the e-office system starting next month.

He emphasized that implementing the e-office is a top priority for the government to improve transparency and efficiency.

Last week, following the Prime Minister’s instructions, e-office training for the Prime Minister’s Office staff was completed, and the Prime Minister has begun receiving files electronically.

He also stressed that officers in all government offices must ensure the use of the e-office system and requested a progress report on its implementation within the next two weeks.

“The e-office is a crucial step toward advancing digitization and enhancing governance in Pakistan,” PM Shehbaz said.
