Punjab Summer Vacations 2024: All schools, including government and private ones, in Punjab close for over two months every year during the Summer Vacations to protect students from the very hot weather.
The temperature in Lahore, the main city of Punjab, and other cities has gone up to 33 degrees Celsius. It’s expected to get even hotter in the next few days.
Weather forecasts say that in May 2024, the temperature might go up to 39°C, and in June 2024, it might be over 40°C.
When it’s really hot, students can get very sick from heatstroke and not drinking enough water. That’s why the government chooses to close schools for more than two months.
Last year, Summer Vacations started on June 6 and finished on August 20, 2023. Schools began classes again on August 21.
Expected Punjab Summer Holidays 2024 Schedule;
The summer vacations for 2024 are expected to start on June 7 (Friday), with schools scheduled to reopen on August 19 (Monday).
But the final decision about the Summer Vacations for 2024 will be made by the education department after they look at everything carefully.
