The upcoming 2024 edition of the Lanka Premier League, the fifth edition of the tournament, is set to take place from July 1st to 21st, as announced in a press release by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board (Sri Lanka Cricket) on Friday. The tournament, featuring five teams, will comprise a total of 24 games.
According to the press release, the initial stage will include 20 matches, while the concluding stage will consist of 4 matches, incorporating qualifier 1 & 2 and the eliminator. Each participating team is required to have a squad ranging from a minimum of 20 players to a maximum of 24 players, including 6 overseas players.
Widely anticipated by cricket enthusiasts, the Lanka Premier League is Sri Lanka’s premier T20 domestic competition, adding an international flair to the cricketing landscape.
