The Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh has initiated a service for the renewal of driving licenses for overseas Pakistanis originating from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
An announcement was made on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by the embassy, indicating that overseas Pakistanis holding traffic driving licenses from KP are eligible for this service.
Those eligible can access this service by visiting the embassy. The process requires submitting certain documents to the embassy for license renewal:
- Passport copy
- CNIC copy
- Expired driving license (not exceeding three years)
- Recent colored passport-size photograph
- Copy of Iqama
- Applicant’s email/contact number
- Latest medical certificate attested by a registered medical practitioner and Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The embassy will then electronically process the documents and send them to the KPK Traffic Police for verification. Upon verification, the police will renew the driving license and hand it over to the applicant’s nominee upon payment of government dues.
The embassy noted that fees for attestation of the above documents will be charged by the embassy.
