RAWALPINDI: The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 in 12 cities of Punjab for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) exam.
According to the notification issued by the Punjab Home Department, the Medical and Dental College Entrance Test will be conducted on Sunday, September 22, in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sahiwal, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujarat, and Rahim Yar Khan. Section 144 has been enforced.
No one except candidates and supervisory staff will be allowed to enter the examination centers.
Movement of non-related persons within 100 yards of examination centers will be restricted in all cities.

According to the notification, carrying all types of weapons, mobile phones, digital diaries, books, and guides in and around the examination centers is prohibited.
No protest or demonstration will be allowed in and around the examination centers. No person will be allowed to obstruct the examination process or use unfair means.
It should be noted, a total of 180,534 students across Pakistan appeared in the MDCAT exam held on September 10, 2023 .
Dozens of students were arrested for reportedly cheating via Bluetooth devices during the MDCAT held at different national and foreign venues.
At least 10 aspirant doctors were arrested in DI Khan and 43 candidates were taken into custody in Peshawar on the charges of cheating during the test for medical and dental colleges.
