RAWALPINDI: Security forces conducted operations in two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on the basis of a tip-off, killing eight terrorists.

In Jani Khel, there was a fierce exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists, in which six terrorists were killed and five were arrested. The ISPR said that the terrorists killed in Jani Khel were involved in terrorism against security forces and were the facilitators of the motorcycle-riding suicide attack on the military convoy in Jani Khel on August 31, 2023, in which nine soldiers were martyred.

In the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, security forces conducted a second operation in which two terrorists were killed.

According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition were also recovered during the operations. A clearance operation is underway to find and eliminate any possible terrorists in the area. The operation was appreciated by the local people.
