ISLAMABAD – In an unanticipated move, Chairman CDA Noor Ul Amin Mengal conducted a surprise visit to various areas of Islamabad on Sunday. During the visit, he issued orders for a crackdown against illegal encroachments and the encroachment mafia, firmly addressing the issue. Notably, a person found dumping garbage, despite prior notice in front of a plaza in the blue area, was apprehended by enforcement staff led by Shakeel Sub-Inspector.

Accused Yasir Abbas Shah Sentenced to Adiala Jail

The accused, Yasir Abbas Shah, was presented before Court Senior Special Magistrate Sardar Muhammad Asif, who ordered his imprisonment with hard labor and imposed a fine. Yasir Abbas Shah was subsequently sent to Adiala Jail. The court emphasized that no encroachment would be tolerated in the federal capital, asserting that no exceptions would be made regardless of the size or status of the individuals involved. The law applies equally to all.

Concerns Remain Over Illegal Construction Material Shops

Interestingly, illegal construction material shops in the green belt, opposite Colonel Sher Khan Shaheed Road and in front of Sector I-Nine, are still standing despite the violations. The CDA’s lack of action regarding these establishments has raised concerns and criticism.
