HANGU: During a police operation, a team responsible for creating counterfeit identity documents for Afghan nationals was captured.
DPO Nisar Ahmad Khan, speaking at a press conference, revealed that a group comprising 14 members had been arrested for fabricating Pakistani identity cards for foreign Afghans. Among those detained are 14 individuals, which include the village secretary and a NADRA official.
The DPO also stated that efforts are in progress to apprehend 8 more individuals connected to the production of Afghan identity cards, some of whom are NADRA officials.
Furthermore, the DPO disclosed that this criminal gang employed a strategy that involved deceiving an elderly woman to acquire an ID card and documents under the guise of her Zakat. Charges have been filed against the suspects under the Foreign Ordinance.
