ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad administration has decided that Lake View Park and Daman-e-Koh will be open only for families during the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, from June 7 to June 9, 2025.
According to a notification, the step has been taken to provide a safe and peaceful environment for families during Eid. People not accompanied by family members will not be allowed to enter these parks during the three-day period.
The decision was signed by Additional District Magistrate Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf and approved by the District Magistrate of Islamabad.
Officials said all concerned departments — including Islamabad Police, Traffic Police, the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and the Chief Commissioner’s Office — have been directed to enforce this rule and ensure smooth crowd control.
Lake View Park and Daman-e-Koh are among the most visited places in the city during Eid. In the past, large crowds and some incidents of misbehavior made it difficult for families to enjoy the outing.
The administration hopes that this new rule will help families celebrate Eid in a safer and more comfortable setting.
Citizens are requested to follow the rules and cooperate with the authorities during the Eid holidays.

In addition, the district administration is also preparing to keep the city clean and beautiful during Eid. A meeting was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, where the plan for disposing of animal waste and running a citywide cleaning campaign was reviewed.
The DC said that biodegradable bags will be distributed to residents to help with proper disposal of animal remains. A control room will also be set up at Safe City headquarters to monitor all cleanliness operations during the Eid holidays.
Citizens are advised to cooperate with the authorities and follow the rules to help maintain cleanliness and order in the city.
