ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police stations will be transformed into Special Initiative Police Stations within 30 days, according to a decision made in a high-level meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to the spokesperson of Islamabad Police, all police stations in the capital will be renovated by June 25. The plan includes improving IT infrastructure and human resources in each station.
Police stations will also be given themes of national and social unity, the spokesperson added.
A special committee has been formed to oversee the project. It includes DIG Islamabad, AIG Logistics, SSP Operations, and officials from the Police Headquarters.
The aim of this initiative is to provide citizen-friendly policing and move towards modern policing standards, the spokesperson said.
