The complaint was lodged by Saudi Attaché Khalid bin Modhi Al Toom. The value of each mobile phone was Rs300,000.

One suspect wielded a dagger, while the other was armed. They forcibly took two mobile phones from the victims and quickly fled the scene. “They repeatedly demanded our passwords,” the report noted, stating that the suspects escaped towards Centaurus Mall.

The complaint invoked Section 392 (punishment for robbery) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

In reaction to the development, the inspector general of Islamabad Police has formed four special teams and the SP (OCU) has been given a special task to investigate the incident.

“Digital surveillance, cellular technology and human intelligence are being used. The accused will be arrested soon,” the police said in a post.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has also addressed the robbery incident involving Saudi citizens. Naqvi has reached out to the IG Islamabad, instructing immediate apprehension of the suspects and initiation of further legal measures.
